Author Guidelines

CIMEGS-SEJ (Socio-Economic Journal) welcomes original research articles, theoretical contributions, and policy-oriented studies related to the Middle East and Gulf regions. Authors are invited to submit manuscripts aligned with the journal’s focus on socio-economic development, environmental sustainability, digital innovation, urban transformation, and regional identity.

1. Submission Guidelines

  • All manuscripts must be submitted through the journal’s online submission system.
  • Submissions must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration elsewhere.
  • Manuscripts should be written in clear academic English.
  • All submissions undergo double-blind peer review.

2. Manuscript Format

  • File format: Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx)
  • Length: 5,000–8,000 words (including references)
  • Font: Times New Roman, size 12
  • Line spacing: 1.5
  • Margins: 2.5 cm (1 inch) on all sides
  • Abstract: 150–250 words (structured), followed by 4–6 keywords
  • Citation style: APA 7th edition for in-text citations and references

3. Article Structure

A typical manuscript should include the following components:

  1. Title page (with authorship details removed for review)
  2. Abstract and keywords
  3. Introduction
  4. Literature review
  5. Methodology
  6. Findings and discussion
  7. Conclusion and recommendations
  8. References
  9. Appendices (if applicable)

4. Plagiarism and Ethics

All submissions will be screened for plagiarism. Authors are responsible for ensuring the originality of their work and proper citation of all sources. Manuscripts must comply with international ethical standards, including avoidance of duplicate publication, plagiarism, and data manipulation. Research involving human participants must be approved by an appropriate ethics committee.

5. Article Processing Charges (APC)

No publication fees are currently charged. The journal provides open-access publication free of cost for both authors and readers.

6. Copyright and Licensing

All articles are published under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0). Authors retain full copyright of their work and grant the journal the right of first publication.
